What is clay?
What is clay?
Natural clay has been used the world over to build ancient cities and structures. Humans have used the pigments of the earth to colour their world, creating unique colours that are hard to mimic using other finishes.
There is also scientific evidence that shows that indoor moisture management and humidity control at 40-60% is important in ensuring our health and wellbeing. A regulated environment makes it difficult for bacteria, mould, fungal spores and house dust mite allergens to grow. Clay is known to maintain indoor temperature and humidity at around 50-60%. This makes it an ideal surface finish in the home of allergy sufferers.

Clay finishing plaster is suitable for surfaces in dry indoor spaces. It can imitate marble and natural stone, be completed in a matt or gloss finish and is best used in interior dry spaces. It has high adhesion, is easy to work with and strong. All these factors combined with the fact that it is 100% natural and recyclable make it a great choice for those who are seeking a quality product that is kind to their health and the environment.

Clay is a more sustainable alternative to gypsum plaster and paint. It can be used in indoor spaces and applied on a range of surfaces. Not to be used in areas in direct contact with liquid moisture, excessively damp areas or the elements, although can be used in areas of high humidity, such as bathrooms and kitchens.
In ideal conditions, it takes about 24 hours to dry.
